Annual Beaverkill Trip - May 19-21, 2017

The chapter's annual trip to the beautiful Beaverkill, Willowemoc, and Delaware rivers in the Catskills region will be held May 18-21, 2017. People usually arrive several days prior to get some fishing in before the weekend crowds arrive. Now is the time you should make your hotel reservation as rooms fill up over the winter. A few hotels are Riverside Cafe and Hotel in Horton 6074985305. It is right on the Beaverkill and you can walk off their property and fish the Sunoco pool. It has a very good restaurant but the rooms last time I stayed there were dingy. Smiths Colonial in Hancock 6076372989. Immaculately clean older motel but you are a 20 minute drive to Roscoe. Roscoe Motel 6074985220. It has good reviews from chapter members who have stayed there. Also there is Butternut Grove campsite 6074984224 and a place on the East Branch called Beaver Del 6073637443 which has campsites, RV hookups and rooms as well as restaurant but I don't know anyone who has stayed there. We will do a text thread again this year to stay in touch by cell phone. We could also do a fishing contest if there is interest. Let us know! Contact Kevin Lovely or Rich Fernandez for more details.
